Our tagline, “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland,” reflects a commitment to helping German-speaking readers understand Swedish affairs without jargon or partisanship. Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. AI-assisted tools may support research or drafting, but never replace human editorial judgement; every piece is approved by a human editor.
Who runs the newsroom?
Chefredaktör Alexander Seidel (anders.lindqvist@medienconnect.de) is responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. He leads a small, specialised team based in Stockholm and Berlin, all named on our team page.
The daily newsroom is managed by Laura Busch, Redaktionschef (karin.bergstrom@medienconnect.de). Politikredaktör Daniel Hoffmann (johan.eriksson@medienconnect.de) covers the Riksdag, the government and municipal politics. How do we ensure accuracy and transparency?
We publish each article with a visible byline, a clear source list and a corrections note where needed. Our editorial policy and sources & standards pages detail how we verify information, handle corrections and respond to complaints.
Julia Franke’s team checks every article before publication, and readers can flag errors via corrections@medienconnect.de or using our complaints procedure. We correct promptly and label changes clearly. The same rigour applies to sponsored or affiliate-linked content, which is always labelled so you can distinguish it from independent journalism.
How is Medienconnect funded?

The article included a clear byline, a link to the original Riksbank press release, and a note that any affiliate links in that piece (e.g., to a mortgage comparison tool) were disclosed. If a reader later spotted a misstated figure, they could email corrections@medienconnect.de and receive a public correction with a timestamp. That is the process on every story.
